PAA EAST CONFERENCE & EXPO

The Pennsylvania Apartment Association East (PAA East), a non-profit organization representing multi-family developers, owners and managers, drew a crowd of over 1,800 to its 32nd annual trade show and conference at the Valley Forge Casino Resort in King of Prussia in April.

A series of nine education sessions — covering topics from “Updating your HVAC Equipment” to “The Keys to Resident Retention” — offered attendees the opportunity bring their knowledge and skills, while networking with other professionals in the field. That networking continued “after hours” with a party in the casino, giving vendors and visitors a chance to mingle in a relaxed atmosphere.

Billed as “the largest and most heavily attended event of its kind in the northeastern United States,” the day-long conference and trade show attracted visitors from across the industry spectrum: leasing agents, construction firms, insurance companies, maintenance contractors and more. Companies from throughout the region displayed virtually every product and service for the multi-family housing industry, providing a view of new materials and technologies, along with great tips for everyone involved in the apartment arena.

Among those companies exhibiting at the trade show was Lemus Construction — which, like a number of exhibitors, welcomed visitors at the booth with a raffle drawing. The prize winner, who took home a bottle of (real) tequila — Don Julio 1942 — was Anne Patrice Waters of the Toll Apartment Group.
